Calabassa Beach Club - CBBC

Updated: Nov 4, 2023

Calabassa Beach Club - or CBBC- opened in 2012 proposing outdoor gastronomy a few feet away from the sea on a small curved bay with Caribic-like turquoise waters. A stunning natural wonder.

This is a stunning location; CBBC is nestled in a corner of paradise with pristine water, we breathe the sea, pine resin and hot sand. A boardwalk undulates among old trees to the restaurant. Close to the waves, CBBC offers a various daybeds from single loungers to VIP large Bali-daybeds, a quality massage parlour and 3 culinary variations: a beach bar, a cafeteria and an excellent main restaurant with tender service to yachts.

The Kitchen In the restaurant, the fusion cuisine is refined and inventive. It offers a few “terroir” dishes like Palella or Bullit de Peix (a local fish stew with saffron and potatoes), specialities from their Sushi Chef, and some surprising elaborate creations.

Chef Charo Val about some of her special treats prepared right on the beach Charo Val Hernandez is an experimenter, eager to learn and to bring the best products to the table. She started as Chef at Calabassa Beach Club in 2013. She loves the marvelous setting, a sandy beach and the restaurant hidden in the shade of old trees.

Charo presents some exclusive cooking at the tables. She is smoking an organic Trout from the Ebro river in the Pyrenees Mountains in Spain, with trout, eggs and butter. Smoking is done with juniper wood (savina albar) from Ibiza, a species of juniper native to the mountains of the western Mediterranean region. On the side, a Strawberry Salad with gold and “Per Se” organic sturgeon caviar from Navarra Spain. The only imported products are the oysters from Oleron Normandie in France.

Entertainment CBBC is worth an excursion to enjoy the superior nature setting mixed with gastronomy. There is a DJ playing house music in the afternoons with more volume around the central bar.

Tip: Also for dinner, long after the sun afionados have left the beach, CBBC is a true hedonistic and romantic Ibiza experience. Practical notes Paying car parking is always available at around 5€ per day. CBBC is one of Ibiza´s top sandy beach.
